Placards for Public Art Collection

The City of St. Petersburg is requesting quotes from qualified vendors for placards for the City's Public Art Collection consisting of 91 pieces of artwork. 28 of the art pieces are outdoors so the labels must be weather resistant.

St. Petersburg is a city centered around the arts. It is supported by ten museums, countless murals, and an array of public artworks scattered throughout the urban landscape. These outdoor installations are often the first visual sign of the arts encountered by both visitors and residents. As such, it is crucial that proper labeling provides the viewer with appropriate information about the artwork and links to more information. These placards must uphold the highest standard of stewardship and care to preserve the cultural legacy conveyed in the collection.

The City of St. Petersburg’s Public Art Collection consists of over 91 pieces of art which includes, but is not be limited to, paintings, sculptures, engravings, carvings, frescos, mobiles, murals, collages, mosaics, statues, bas reliefs, tapestries, photographs, drawings, stained glass, clay, fiber, monuments, fountains, arches, or other structures of a permanent character intended as ornamental, decorative or commemorative.
