LAWRENCE POLICE DEPARTMENT
REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
The Lawrence Police Department (LPD) is dedicated to improving public safety and providing compassionate, adequate support to community members experiencing mental health crises. As part of its ongoing efforts, LPD seeks proposals from qualified organizations, including individuals, sole proprietors, LLCs, nonprofits, and for-profit entities, to request funding through the Emergency Assistance Program Services (EAPS).
The primary goal of the LAPD’s Behavioral Health Unit is to reduce arrests and improve outcomes for individuals in crisis by connecting them with appropriate mental health resources and providing follow-up services. This initiative focuses on diverting individuals from the criminal justice system and ensuring they receive timely, professional support to address their behavioral health needs.
Proposals from vendors are due at the Office of the City Clerk, City Hall, 200 Common Street, Room #107, Lawrence, MA 01840 on or before 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 20th, 2025.
All proposals submitted in response to this Request for Proposals will be evaluated and awarded in accordance with the provisions of M.G.L. Ch. 30B, as established in the RFP.
The City of Lawrence reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or take whatever ac??on is in the best interest of the City.
