NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE FOR ANNUAL PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE SUPPORT AND REPAIRS OF VIBRATION SYSTEMS AT ATC

This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using Federal

Acquisition Regulation FAR 13.106-l(b)(1). The US Army Contracting Command -Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG) Installation & Technology Division 6472 Integrity Court, Building 4401Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005-1846; has a requirement to procure the following service:

The Aberdeen Test Center (ATC) requires annual preventive maintenance, calibration and repairs for the following equipment:

System 1 consists of the following:

Combined Slip Table Assembly including a UD4000-26 Shaker, SN 116 and Slip Table, UD, S/N ATC-1.

Heat Exchanger, Shaker, S/N VTB-1.

UD SAI 300 Power Amplifier, S/N 4038 with Control Console MA460W-400.

UD APEX SL Digital Vibration Controller S/N 1191.

System 3 consisting of the following:

Combined Slip Table Assembly including a UD4000-26 Shaker, S/N 120 and a Slip Table, UD, S/N ATC-3.

Heat Exchanger, Shaker, S/N VTB-3.

UD SAI 300 Power Amplifier, S/N 3815 with Control Console MA460W-400.

UD APEX SL Digital Vibration Control System, S/N 1090. including Software and documentation update releases.

The service is for a 12-month base period and two (2) one year option period(s).

PLACE OF PERFORMANCE:

Contractor shall provide on-site at the Aberdeen Test Center (ATC) Vibration Test Facility, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD unless otherwise authorized, all necessary maintenance, labor, documentation, repair parts, maintenance supplies, tools, test equipment, transportation, and other related services at the prices shown in the appropriate schedule unless otherwise specified and shall keep the equipment in good operating condition.

The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price sole source contract to Unholtz-Dickie Corp. 6 BROOKSIDE DR WALLINGFORD, CT 06492-1893. Unholtz-Dickie Corp. is the current and previous contract holder. The continued need for the preventive maintenance, and as-needed repairs of the electro-dynamic shaker table systems manufactured by Unholtz-Dickie, has been deemed critical.

The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAlCS) Code is 334519 (Other Measuring and Controlling Device Manufacturing) and the Size Standards in the number of employees is 600.

All responses received within five businesses (5) days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
