NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
FOR THE
Arcata Sludge Drying Structure Fascia Replacement Project
The City of Arcata (City) is soliciting bids for the Sludge Drying Structure Metal Fascia Replacement Project. The Project includes demolition, removal, replacement, and associated work for approximately 110 linear feet of plain, metal fascia in continuous roll form or in 10’-12’ sections, with a 24-inch vertical face height, as well as selective replacement of backing members and full replacement of approximately 110 linear feet of gutter and two (2) downspouts, color-matched and coordinated with the fascia on the Sludge Drying Structure at the City’s Corporation Yard, located at 600 So. G St.
The Work consists of removal and proper off-site disposal of existing fascia, gutters, downspouts, and backing members; installation of new plain metal fascia fabricated from 24-gauge Galvalume steel or 0.032-inch aluminum with a factory-applied PVDF/Kynar 500 finish; replacement of approximately 35 linear feet of full-dimension 2×6 fascia board (sub-fascia) and 35 linear feet of 2½″ × 3½″ wood nailer/blocking; and installation of approximately 110 linear feet of gutter and two (2) downspouts, color-matched to coordinate with the fascia. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, materials, and incidentals necessary to complete the Work as specified.
A non-mandatory pre-bid walk-through will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the job site, 600 South G Street, Arcata, CA.

Projected duration of this project is November 17, 2025, through March 31, 2026.
Sealed bids will be received at the City Manager’s Office, 736 F Street, Arcata, California until 11 AM on Thursday,
October 23,
November 6, 2025. Bids must be submitted within a sealed envelope with the bidder’s name and address and labeled: “Arcata Sludge Drying Structure Metal Fascia Replacement Project.” All responses must be made on the Bid Proposal and Schedule provided in Attachment B to be considered for award. The Informal Request for Bids Package for this Work can be obtained on the City’s website,
www.cityofarcata.org
under “Bid.”
The City of Arcata has determined that prevailing wages apply to this Project. The selected contractor must register with the State Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code Section 1725.5 prior to award of a contract.
