Description of Work:
“THIS PRESOLICITATION NOTICE IS ISSUED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY TO PROVIDE AN OPPORTUNITY FOR VENDORS TO ASSESS THE PROJECT SITE PRIOR TO INCLEMENT WEATHER OR SEASONAL CLOSURES AND PRIOR TO ISSUANCE OF THE SOLICITATION. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL/QUOTE OR BID.
The Forest Service anticipates issuing a full solicitation at a time when the project site will be unavailable due to seasonal closures/weather. Interested vendors are encouraged to visit the site for a full understanding and, if desired, take photos or videos.”
The Government does not intend to award a contract(s) based solely on this site visit nor does it intend to pay for any costs incurred in response to this announcement. The intent of this notice is to ensure that prospective vendors may see the areas prior to heavy snowfall and issuing the solicitation. This is not a final solicitation or scope of work. This project is in draft and is subject to change when the solicitation comes out.
Project Summary:
The Manti-La Sal National Forest may issue a Solicitation for a chip seal paving project along with campground updates and improvements such as tables, fire rings and camp site widening. The project is located at the Joes Valley Campground on the Ferron/Price Ranger District Spring 2025. This is not a solicitation and in no way commits the Government to award a contract. The Government does not intend to award a contract(s) based solely on this site visit nor does it intend to pay for any costs incurred in response to this announcement. The intent of this notice is to ensure that prospective vendors may see the areas prior to heavy snowfall and issuing the solicitation. This solicitation should be issued in April or May 2025
The work anticipated under any contract resulting from the solicitation will be started as soon as conditions on-the-ground are favorable for the prosecution of the work next spring (estimate early June starting date).
Site Visit Information:
A Forest Service site visit of the units will meet at the Joes Valley Campground Entrance at 10:00 a.m. on November 13, 2021. Those participating in the site visit must furnish their own transportation and may wish to bring a lunch. Please inform the COR if you are planning to come and have any questions.

The function of the Forest Service site visit is to show the on-the-ground location of the work areas, boundaries and other in-place markers, and the routes of travel that may be utilized in going to and from the work areas.
Access:
Directional information may be obtained from the Supervisors Office located in Price, UT or the Ferron/Price Ranger District located in Ferron, UT. Some areas are located behind locked gates and must be viewed on the scheduled site visit, or "walk-in" may be required. Interested parties desiring to visit units on their own should coordinate travel with the Price Supervisors Office.
Magnitude of the Proposed Project:
In accordance with FAR 36.204, the estimated magnitude of construction for this project is between $500,000 - $800,000.
