Professional Engineering Services - Preliminary Engineering Report -
River Run Wastewater Treatment Facility
Worcester County is seeking proposals for Professional Engineering Services to prepare a
Preliminary Engineering Report (PER) to evaluate the temporary diversion of wastewater flows
from two existing pump stations to facilitate planned improvements at the River Run
Wastewater Treatment Facility. The PER will assess the feasibility, design considerations, and
lifecycle implications of implementing a diversion system that may function both as a
temporary bypass during construction and as a potential semi-permanent/permanent
conveyance solution.
Proposal Documents for the above referenced project may be obtained from the
Worcester County Commissioner's Office by either e-mailing the Procurement Officer at
purchasing@worcestermd.gov , or via the County's on-line bid board.
Vendors are responsible for checking the County website for addenda prior to submitting their
bids. Worcester County is not responsible for the content of any Proposal Document received
through any third-party bid service. It is the sole responsibility of the vendor to ensure the
completeness and accuracy of their Completed Proposal Documents.
A non-mandatory pre-proposal meeting will be held on August 6, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the
Ocean Pines WWTP Ops Building at 1000 Shore Lane, Berlin, MD 21811.
The last date/time to submit questions for clarification will be noon on August 19, 2026.
Sealed Proposal Documents are due no later than September 3, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. and will be
opened and only vendor names will be read aloud in the Office of the County Commissioners,
Worcester County Government Center - Room 1103, One West Market Street, Snow Hill, MD
21863.
Late Proposal Documents cannot be accepted.
Envelopes shall be marked " RFP 27-WWW-01 River Run to PS C PER" in the lower left-hand
corner.
Minority vendors are encouraged to compete for award of this solicitation.
