The City of Pontiac, IL is inviting sealed Bid Proposals from interested and qualified parties for the Utility Investigations North Side Sewer Separation Phase II. This project is located North of the Vermilion River East of Main Street in three areas. Area one is bounded by the Vermilion River to the South, Walnut Street to the West, Madison Street to the North and Fountain Street to the East. Area two is Walnut Street from North Street to Pierce Street, and Pierce Street from Walnut Street to Locust Street. Area three is Locust Street from Indiana Avenue to Wabash Avenue, Michigan Avenue from Walnut Street to Locust Street and Wabash Avenue from Main Street to Walnut Street.
This work includes the following:
The work is to consist of hydro-excavation for determining the horizontal location and vertical depth of existing utilities in the location of potential conflict with proposed storm sewer as shown on the plans.
This work shall include all labor, supervision, materials, supplies, transportation, equipment, and services necessary and required to perform the improvements as set forth in the Contract Documents.
Bids will be received by the City of Pontiac at 115 W. Howard St., Pontiac, IL 61764 until 10:00 A.M., February 24, 2025, at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
Prospective bidders shall be prequalified by the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT).
The successful bidder must comply with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act and all other applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Bidding Documents may be obtained at Pontiac City Hall, 115 W. Howard Street, Pontiac, IL 61764.
A certified check or bank draft payable to the order of the City of Pontiac, Illinois, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total Bid shall be submitted with each Bid.
The City of Pontiac reserves the right to accept or reject any, and all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding. After receipt of bids and completion of the review process, the City of Pontiac may award a contract to the low, responsible, responsive bidder.
