Project Description: The objective of this study is to develop strategies for Dallas Water Utilities (DWU) to ensure compliance with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) drinking water regulations regarding PFAS with an emphasis on Bachman Water Treatment Plant. The study will focus on both near-term and long-term compliance strategies, emphasize on operational efficiency, and provide cost-effective solutions. The outcome will provide DWU with a clear path to achieve compliance while optimizing operations and minimizing impacts on the water treatment process. Recommendations should be effective throughout the entire flow range of the system while ensuring no negative impacts on distribution system water quality. Project Manager: Eva Gorgi, PE
