REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR A DECARBONIZATION PLAN FOR EAGLE COUNTY OPERATIONS  AND ASSETS

Eagle County Government (“ECG”) is seeking proposals from qualified consultants or firms to develop a comprehensive Decarbonization Plan that identifies the specific projects, policies, and strategies and the estimated costs, resource gaps, and available and applicable financial tools required to meet or exceed Eagle County’s immediate goal of 50% reduction of greenhouse gas (“GHG”) emissions by 2030 and long-term goal of 80% reduction by 2050. The Project scope includes all ECG operations and assets, including but not limited to, all buildings, inclusive of the regional airport, landfill, and County owned-housing projects, County-wide fleet (light, medium, and heavy duty vehicles), and County-owned equipment.

Firms submitting proposals must have a proven track record in preparing Decarbonization Plans (or similar documents) for local governments or similar organizations. Proposals shall include methodology and proposed approach to identify projects, policies, and strategies and estimated costs and resource gaps for achieving ECG’s stated climate action goals. The plan will serve as a roadmap to guide ECG strategy, policies, infrastructure investments, equipment purchases, operating practices, and other actions to meet near and long-term climate goals.
