GENERAL SCOPE OF WORK
A. The work to be done under this contract consists of replacing three vertical air handling systems:
1. Demolish one twinned vertical air handler, 5000 CFM and 10-tons.
2. Demolish one vertical air handlers, 2500 CFM and 5-tons.
3. Demolish one vertical furnace with DX section, 1300 CFM and 3 tons.
4. Demolish three refrigerant pipe runs between DX coils and associated condensers.
5. Demolish three condensing units associated with the three air handlers.
6. Demolish two duct furnaces in the attic.
7. Modify ductwork as-needed at the air handlers to mate to new air handlers.
8. Modify condensate piping as-needed at the air handlers to mate to new air handlers.
9. Install four vertical furnaces with DX section 5-ton, 5-ton, 5-ton, 3-ton respectively. The replacement for the 10-ton unit is no longer twinned and will contain two separate air handlers working in conjunction to satisfy the single zone.
10. Install four new heat pump condensers in place of the demolished condensing units.
11. Install four new refrigerant pipe runs between condensing units and indoor DX sections.
12. Extend three new combustion air intake and three new flue exhaust up to roof for the 5-ton units, connecting to existing where applicable. Reuse the entire flue where possible for the 3-ton unit.
13. Extend natural gas piping as needed in 3 locations from the demolished attic duct furnace down to the new vertical furnace in the fan room.
14. Provide CO detectors in three fan rooms.
B. The work to be done also includes but not limited to:
1. Associated system valves, fittings, insulation, pumps, controls and other accessories.
