Sealed bids for construction of City of Thomasville¿s Gravity Sewer Trunk Line Improvements Phase II project will be received until 2:00 p.m. EST on May 8, 2025 at 411 W. Jackson St, Thomasville, GA 31792, where they will be publicly opened and read. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days. Work must be performed by a Georgia licensed utility contractor. The work shall generally consist of furnishing all products and performing all labor necessary to construct the following: Installation of approximately 7,100 L.F. of 30¿ & 24¿ sewer rehabilitation via cured in place pipe, 165 V.F. of manhole rehabilitation, sewer main cleaning, bypass pumping, video inspections, manholes replacemen,t and all other appurtenances necessary to complete the project in accordance with the specifications and construction drawings. Bidders can download the digital documents for a fee of $200 for a PDF file payable through the website. Questions may be directed to the issuing office, Carter & Sloope, Inc., 24 1st Avenue NE, Moultrie, GA 31768, Phone: 229-668-0663. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified cashier¿s check in an amount not less than 10% of the base bid. Performance and Payment Bonds, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price shall be required of the successful bidder if contract is awarded. This project will be partially funded with Federal funds from the United States Environmental Protection Agency and therefore is subject to the Federal laws and regulations associated with that program. Bidders must comply with 41 CFR 60-4, regarding affirmative action and ensure equal opportunity employment and AIS Act requirements. Owner reserves the right to reject bids, waive informalities, and re-advertise.
