Claystone Waste Ltd.
Work includes:
1. Mobilization and demobilization of equipment to site, including construction
of haul roads from the Cell 10 area to stockpile areas, and any other haul
roads required during construction, prime contractor duties, site safety, all
temporary works and facilities necessary to complete the project, and
demobilization including all restoration of temporary facilities and disturbed
areas.
2. Stripping topsoil, subsoil, and unsuitable surface material from within the
Cell 10 footprint, interior access road, surface water ditches, stockpile area
(if required), and any other area to be disturbed during construction, and
hauling of material to the appropriate stockpile area as shown on the
drawings or directed by the ENGINEER.
3. Excavation of Cell 10, including the construction of Cell 10 interior access
road, Cell 10 embankments, berms, and stockpiling of excess material.
4. Construction of interior access road to the compost facility as shown on
the drawings.
5. Preparation of the subgrade layer in preparation of construction of the liner
system as shown on the drawings.
6. Excavation and backfill of the geosynthetics anchor trench as shown on
the drawings.
7. Supply and Installation of the GCL.
8. Supply and Installation of the HDPE geomembrane liner.
9. Supply and installation of non-woven geotextile.
10. Supply and installation of the drainage layer.
11. Supply and Installation of the Cell 10 leachate collection system (including,
but not limited to, excavation of the trenches and sumps, supply and install
of drainage aggregate, woven geotextile, and piping
infrastructure/accessories).
12. Tie-in of existing geosynthetic liner system to Cell 10.
13. Construction of the interior access road and associated surface water
ditching.
14. Application of topsoil and seeding of permanent ditches, embankment
slopes, all disturbed areas, and seeding of stockpiles (as indicated on
drawings) to aid in erosion control on-site.
15. Field surveying, as required for the completion of all portions of the Work,
which must include pre-construction survey, survey progress to
supplement payment applications, and a detailed as-built geodetic survey
of the entire Work area and all the Work performed including the subgrade
and top of liner system. To be provided to and approved by ENGINEER as
construction progresses.
