Sealed Bids for the construction of AERATION SYSTEM EFFICIENCY IMPROVEMENTS at the City of LaFayette Wastewater Treatment Plant will be received by the City of LaFayette, Georgia at City Hall, 207 S. Duke Street, LaFayette, Georgia 30728, until 2:00 PM LOCAL TIME, ON THURSDAY, March 20, 2025, and then at said time and place publicly opened and read aloud. Bids received after 2:00 PM will be returned to the Bidder unopened.
The Work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, products, equipment, tools, supplies, and incidentals necessary for the removal of six (6) 100 HP floating aerators, two (2) 60 HP floating mixers, two (2) motor control centers (MMC¿s), and replacement with six (6) owner-furnished 100 HP floating aerators, two (2) owner-furnished 60 HP floating mixers, two (2) owner-furnished motor control centers (MMC¿s), and two (2) owner-furnished pad mounted transformers, including all related site preparation, cable installation, incidentals, and start-up for the complete and functioning wastewater aeration and mixing system as described by the Contract Documents.
The Project will be funded by a Georgia Environmental Finance Authority (GEFA) Georgia Fund Loan and an Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) grant. Payment for the Work will be made on the basis of Contractor's periodic Applications-for-Payment processed by the Engineer.
