Project Description: Charlotte Water is seeking professional consulting services to assist with the evaluation and development of a new biosolids and residuals management contract. Charlotte Water aims to review how other municipalities or authorities structure and administer biosolids management contracts to identify best practices and innovative approaches. Findings from this research will guide the development of a new Request for Proposals (RFP) to secure biosolids handling, marketing, hauling, and disposal/reuse services that best meet Charlotte Water’s operational and strategic goals. Charlotte Water will have production of Class A biosolids, Class B biosolids, and water residuals, and is looking for ways to maximize the beneficial use of all products.
