The Department of Veterans Affairs, NCO 15 Contracting Office intends to release a commercial solicitation, to provide Legionella Water Testing Services for the Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center. The Contractor is responsible for conducting business, Monday through Friday except Federal holidays to accept and test shipped water samples timely. Availability of Saturday testing services to accept and test shipped samples when needed is valued. The Contractor must always maintain an adequate workforce for the uninterrupted performance of all tasks defined within the PWS when the Government facility is not closed for the above reasons located at the Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center, 5500 E. Kellogg Avenue, Wichita KS 67218-1607. The work to be performed under this requirement will be performed at the contractor testing laboratory facilities. Samples are taken at the Robert J. Dole VAMC by Government personnel and shipped to the testing laboratory in containers provided by the testing laboratory. Laboratories that process the water samples for Legionella must be certified by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Environmental Legionella Isolation Techniques Evaluation (ELITE) program or the Public Health England (PHE) Legionella External Quality Assessment (EQA) scheme as proficient at performing the culture of Legionella from environmental samples. The government intends to award a single award Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) five-year contract with five one-year order periods. Individual bulk funded task orders will be issued by the NCO 15 Contracting Office. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 562910 (Remediation Services), with a size standard of $25.0 million.
