The Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Oil & Gas Resources Management is accepting bids to install a new standing seam metal roof at our Barlow Office in Vincent, OH (Washington County).

Specifications :
Schedule: All work shall be completed by December 1 st , 2025

Contractor shall provide all labor and materials to install a new standing seam metal roof at the ODNR Barlow Office located at 591 Warrior Road, Vincent, Ohio 45784.  All materials shall be installed according to the manufacturer’s recommendations.  Contractor’s scope of work includes:

1.            Removing existing asphalt shingle roofing and existing gutters and downspouts
2.            Replacing existing plywood sheathing
3.            Installing new pipe boots and flashing for five (5) pipe penetrations
4.            Installing new underlayment and metal roofing system
5.            Installing new metal fascia cover on existing wood boards on eaves and rakes
6.            Replacing existing soffit with metal soffit system
7.            Installing new gutters with leaf guards and downspouts

All work shall be completed in accordance with the specifications contained herein to provide a complete metal roofing system.  Building roof dimensions are 55’-4” x 30’-0” with a 3:12 roof slope.  There are five (5) pipe penetrations through the roof.  The original building drawing sheets are provided to convey as-built information.  Contractor shall legally dispose of all material removed from the project.  Contractor shall clean job site upon completion of work.

Bids shall be submitted on the bid schedule for the project.  The allowance item is to address any unknown required wood replacement.  Any work to be paid from the allowance item shall be approved by ODNR prior to the Contractor performing the work.

Prior to any work being performed onsite Contractor must submit the following submittals to the project manager:

  1. Manufacturer's data sheets on each product to be used, including:
    1. Preparation instructions and recommendations.
    2. Storage and handling requirements and recommendations.
    3. Installation methods.
  2. Shop Drawings: Submit shop drawings showing layout, profiles, and product components,
  1. including anchorage, edge conditions, flashings, accessories, finish colors, and textures.
  1. Selection Samples: For each finish product specified, one complete sets of color chips
  1. representing manufacturer's full range of available colors and patterns.
  1. Manufacturer's Certificates: Certify products meet or exceed specified requirements.
  2. Maintenance Data: For metal panels, including cleaning and care.

Evaluation: The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder as determined by the State.

Contract Award: The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder by low lot total.  Low lot total will be determined by multiplying the unit cost by the estimated usage listed in the bid and then adding each of the totals together to arrive at a total for all items. Failure to bid all items may result in the bidder being deemed not responsive.

Once a contract is awarded, failure of the bidder to have requested a site visit to become familiar with the facility and requirements of the bid will be insufficient reason to support any request to be released from the contract.
