Title: Janitorial Services Consultant
Addenda: 0
Release Date: 1/9/2025
Due Date: 2/5/2025
The City of Manhattan Beach is soliciting proposals from consultants to provide janitorial consulting services. Currently, the City is transitioning to a new janitorial service provider after many years and seeks a consultant to support this important service delivery change.
The City seeks a qualified consultant to develop a comprehensive plan for this transition and oversee its execution, thereby facilitating a seamless transition to a new janitorial services provider. This project requires a detailed approach to ensure continuity, efficiency, and compliance with contract standards throughout the transition process. Significant on-site work inspecting services provided and interfacing with both City management and the contractor’s management team are anticipated. We invite interested parties to submit proposals outlining their proposed scope of work and expertise, methodology, and ability to deliver these services effectively.
The City anticipates the transition period to last between 60 and 180 days. In order to be successful, the selected consultant likely will need to be on-site conducting inspections in around City facilities between 15 and 40 hours per week, at various times of the day and on varied days of the week. The City anticipates that these hours will likely fluctuate, with more on-site hours being needed at the beginning of the transition period and then eventually tapering off.
The City reserves the right to award this bid to one consultant or multiple consultants. The specifications below describe the scope of work, requirements, and minimum qualifications of the consultant(s). It is the intent of this specification to describe all the requirements for the service agreement. The service shall conform to, and the bidder’s proposal shall include, all provisions of the following specification.
