Amendment 001 to Solicitation #36C25926Q0523 (Replacement Medical Air Equipment)

This amendment s purpose is to list and answer the questions submitted by the questions deadline as specified in the solicitation.

Questions and Answers:

Desiccant Dryer / Medical Air Load Calculation: The scope states that the desiccant air dryer shall be sized for the calculated system demand. Can the Government provide the existing or required medical air load calculation? Also, please confirm the required dryer dew point, or whether the system should be sized to the standard NFPA 99 medical air dew point requirement.Â

No, you will have to do the calculations. See Plumbing PG-18-10 paragraph 8.2.3.2(k).

Seismic Certification The solicitation specifically identifies OSHPD Seismic Certification for the medical vacuum pump system. Please confirm whether OSHPD Seismic Certification is also required for the medical air compressor system.Â

No, it is not.

Site Access / Rigging / Equipment Placement Can the Government provide any available photos, drawings, or layout information for the mechanical room and the equipment delivery path? Specifically, we are requesting door widths, corridor widths, elevator information if applicable, and any known rigging or access limitations. Please also confirm whether the new equipment is expected to be installed in the same footprint/location as the existing equipment.Â

As available, however we request that you complete a site survey.

Existing Piping and Electrical Tie-Ins Can the Government provide any available as-built drawings, photos, or additional information showing the existing medical air and medical vacuum piping connection points, electrical panels, disconnects, and tie-in locations?Â

As available, however we request that you complete a site survey.

Alarm Panel Compatibility Please provide the make and model of the existing area alarm panels and master alarm panels that the new equipment will need to communicate with.Â

**Pending additional information**

Award / Start Timeline: The solicitation states that the period of performance shall not exceed 120 days from award. Is there an anticipated award date or estimated project start timeframe that offerors should use for planning and equipment lead time purposes?

Once quotes are received, it is anticipated that an award would be made within a few weeks. However, no set dates can be provided. Upon receipt of award, the vendor would be expected to attend a post-award meeting to discuss logistics and a more firm timeline. Offerors should include in their quote package their anticipated delivery lead times as well as an estimate of how long the installation and verification process would take once equipment is onsite.

Relative Humidity of installation area?Â

The mech room is around 25%, but this varies.
