The Town of Acton, Massachusetts, Office of the Town Manager, will receive sealed bids for Fire Department Station 2 - Roof Replacement located at 54 School Street, Acton, MA.

This solicitation is being conducted in accordance with the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws (MGL) Chapter 149, § 44A through 44J, and any resulting contract will be strictly awarded in accordance with the requirements of the solicitation. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids.

  • Pre-Bid Requests for Information (RFI) Due: October 27, 2025

The Owner shall not be responsible for full or partial documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than Projectdog, Inc.  All Addenda must be acquired electronically at www.Projectdog.com. Each individual or firm recorded as having requested a set of Contract Documents will be electronically notified via email when addenda are issued. It is the sole responsibility of the bidder to review all ADDENDA prior to bid opening at www.Projectdog.com or at Projectdog’s physical location.  Hard copies of the documents may also be viewed, but not removed, from the offices of Projectdog Inc., 18 Graf Road - Unit 8, Newburyport, MA 01950, Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

This project is being Electronically Bid (E-Bid).  All bids shall be submitted online at www.Projectdog.com , Project Code 865659.  Hard copy bids will not be accepted by Projectdog Inc. or by the Awarding Authority. All plan holders must have an active online account on www.Projectdog.com to acquire documents, and to receive project notifications. All bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit.  Bid Security shall be at least five percent (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount, considering all alternates.  The Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond shall be:

  1. with a surety company qualified to do business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and satisfactory to Owner;
  2. conditional upon the faithful performance by the principal of the agreements contained in the Bid.
  3. a completed Cash Bid Bond Affidvit form submitted with your E-Bid online at www.Projectdog.com .

DCAMM Certification is required for General Contractor and Filed Sub-bidders.  The minimum wages to be paid for all labor on the project are established in a schedule issued by the Commissioner of Labor and Industries, in accordance with Section 26A - 27D inclusive, of Chapter 149 of the M.G.L., as amended, said schedule being made a part of the Contract Documents and is included therein.  Failure of the General Bidder and Filed Sub-bidders to submit this above information will be cause for the rejection of the bid.

The bidder agrees that its bid shall be good and may not be withdrawn for a period of 30 days, Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays excluded, after the opening of the bids.

The Town of Acton reserves the right to waive any informalities, to accept or reject, in whole or in part any or all bids, or take whatever other action may be deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of Acton.
