Hanford Tank Waste Operations & Closure (H2C) is seeking a qualified, accredited laboratory to perform hazard classification for a 2.3% acetonitrile mixture (97.7% water, 2.2964% acetonitrile, 0.00335% acrylonitrile, 0.00005% acetone, 0.00003% N-nitrosodimethylamine, 0.00007% air) in compliance with NFPA 400 requirements. The mixture must be classified based on its overall hazard profile, as stipulated: “Mixtures shall be classified in accordance with the hazards of the mixture as a whole by an approved, qualified organization, individual, or testing laboratory.” The mixture has already been classified as a Class IIIB combustible liquid (flash point ≥ 200°F)
