CPO CLUB / MWR FITNESS / STORAGE BUILDING A-350

This project involves updates and renovations to Building A350 on NAS Key West, Boca Chica, Florida. This is a design-build project, requiring the contractor to procure the services of a Florida Licensed Professional Engineer, Designer of Record (DOR). The DOR will be responsible for all design-related activities, ensuring compliance with applicable Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), Florida Building Code, ASCE 7-22, and U.S. Navy requirements.

Below is a high-level summary of the project. The project consists of multiple tasks:

1. Replacement of the existing modified bitumen roof using a cold tar process. This task including replacement of all roof vents, Flashing/trim and other roof components.


2. Replacement of three existing HVAC package units-Includes other work associated with the HVAC replacement such as the installation of new stainless steel disconnect switches, thermostats, control wire ect.. Replacement of the ground mounted DX unit (condenser and AHU)


3. Exterior improvements- Include pressure washing, priming, painting the building white, and replacing all existing windows and doors with hurricane-rated products meeting UFC and Florida Building Code, ASCE 7-22 wind loads.


4. Interior improvements (lights/ceiling)-Replace all of the interior light fixtures throughout the entire building in drop ceiling and bathroom. They shall also include replacement of all ceiling grid and drop in ceiling tiles.


5. Interior improvements (plumbing) - Replace various plumbing fixtures that need throughout the buildings bathrooms and closets as stated within the technical section below.
