HVAC TXV Replacement Quote

The City of North Augusta is requesting quotes from qualified vendors to provide mechanical repair services, specifically the replacement of a Thermostatic Expansion Valve (TXV) for Air Handler Unit #3 at the North Augusta Community Center (495 Brookside Avenue, North Augusta, SC 29841).

Scope of Work & Requirements:

• Refrigerant Recovery: Recover remaining refrigerant in the system in compliance with EPA regulations.

• TXV & Drier Replacement: Remove failed TXV. Install new TXV and liquid line filter drier.

• System Testing & Evacuation: Perform a pressure test with nitrogen and pull a deep vacuum to clear moisture and non-condensable.

• Recharge & Commissioning: Charge system with the proper factory-specified charge of R-410A refrigerant, start unit, and verify proper operational performance.

• Cleanup: Clean the work area, properly dispose of old components, and return equipment and site to normal operation.

Vendor Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bidding vendors must hold a valid South Carolina Mechanical/HVAC Contractor License.

• Bidding vendors must possess or obtain a valid City of North Augusta Business License once the contract is awarded.

• Vendors must carry active Workers' Compensation insurance.
