Reach Out Detox Services Facility

The County of Mohave, on behalf of the Sheriff Department, is seeking proposals from qualified respondents for Reach Out Detox Services Facility . All proposals are due before 2:00 pm on Friday, August 15, 2025 . Mohave County is looking for one provider that will utilize existing space within the newly constructed Reach Out Center on the upper floor for licensed detox services. This space will not be leased to the provider nor will rent be charged. The County will be responsible for all ongoing maintenance of the space.

Construction is slated to be completed by July 2025 and the goal is for the provider to have access to the facility by November 1, 2025, to begin the licensing process and begin detox services thereafter. The provider will have full access to the upper floor of the building.

When individuals are released from jail, some may want to enter a substance use rehabilitation programs. One of the stipulations for admission is that they must not be intoxicated. The detox facility will fill this gap by providing individuals with the opportunity to safely detox from substances and assist them with the appropriate level of care for their treatment needs upon discharge. The Sheriff’s Office would like to be able to offer these individuals the opportunity to stop the cycle of substance abuse. The detox facility is not a long-term facility. Individuals will receive detox services according to best practices and licensing. The detox facility will be available to individuals in the community with those recently released from jail being priority.

There are limited detox services available in the County which may perpetuate the cycle of substance use. Individuals using substances need extensive support, and the detox facility fulfills this important piece in the recovery process. Substance use leads to mental illness, suicide ideation, crime, and death. This is a life saving service needed in our community.
