Improvements at Kelley, Lang Ranch, Meadows, and Oakbrook Reservoir and Pump Station Sites

The proposed improvements at these reservoir and pump station sites will address the following scope of work:

• Kelley Reservoir and Pump Station Sites (CI 5752)
  • Fire hardening enhancements including replacement of the existing roof with fire-resistant roofing material,
  • Installation of new canopy to protect critical equipment from weather exposure,
  • Driveway improvements to include the removal and replacement of the existing asphalt pavement, as well as enhancements to the driveway entrance at Whitegate Road.
• Lang Ranch Reservoir and Pump Station Sites (CI 5753)
  • Fire hardening enhancements including replacement of the existing roof with fire-resistant roofing material,
  • Installation of a new canopy to protect critical equipment from weather exposure,
  • Installation of short retaining walls,
  • Removal of asphalt concrete (AC) pavement (approx. 6" thick) to expose aggregate base material and also expose the tank pad weepholes
  • Clean weepholes and connect to new 4" PVC drainpipe.
• Meadows Reservoir Site (CI 5754)
  • Vault access improvements including a new access gate and installation of safety railings along the vault edge,
  • Installation of a new canopy to protect critical equipment from weather exposure.
• Oakbrook Reservoir (CI 5755)
  • Installation of a new canopy to protect critical equipment from weather exposure.

The City’s Public Works Department manages the City’s water storage and distribution facilities consisting of 11 Calleguas turnouts (connections to the Calleguas Municipal Water District supply), four hydropneumatic pump stations, 16 pump stations, 16 reservoirs, and two booster stations. Many of these sites need certain improvements to address enhanced wildfire resiliency, site drainage, accidental tank overflow containment, pump, and electrical equipment enclosures, fencing, and the addition of emergency generators and disinfection boosting stations.
