Project Description: The Municipality of Norristown (Montgomery County, Pennsylvania) is seeking sealed proposals from qualified contractors for the City Camera Project – Phase 2, an expansion of the Municipality’s public safety camera network. This project is funded by a Violence Intervention and Prevention (VIP) grant awarded through the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD) to enhance community safety and deter violence. The selected contractor will enter into a lump sum, fixed-scope contract to furnish and install security camera equipment at designated locations in Norristown, integrating with the Municipality’s existing Genetec Security Center Video Management System (VMS). The project scope, requirements, and proposal submission instructions are detailed below.
Project Summary: Phase 2 of the City Camera Project entails the installation of surveillance cameras and supporting network infrastructure at five (5) intersections in Norristown. All work, including equipment procurement, installation, system configuration, and testing, shall be completed on a lump-sum basis. The project will expand coverage of critical public areas as part of Norristown’s ongoing efforts to prevent violence and improve quality of life through enhanced security measures. Contractors with demonstrated experience in municipal surveillance systems and Genetec Security Center VMS integration are strongly encouraged to apply.
