Project Description: PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to all prospective bidders that the Upper Darby Township will receive sealed bids for the following contract: 2025 Streets Resurfacing and ADA Curb Ramps. Sealed bids shall be submitted and updated online until 11:00 AM prevailing time, on the 28th day of July 2025 at which time they will be publicly opened and read. All documents and solicitation details are available any time at PennBid (https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com) by clicking on the bids tab. Hard copies of all documents may be optionally purchased through PennBid, Estimated cost is $100.00. Project drawings and documents are available for inspection at the Public Works Department in Upper Darby Township at 100 Garrett Rd., Upper Darby, PA 19082.
2025 STREETS RESURFACING AND ADA CURB RAMPS
UPPER DARBY TOWNSHIP, DELAWARE COUNTY
This project includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, tools and equipment for the paving of selected roads within the Township to include: ADA ramp installation, base repairs, milling, and paving.
Bids must be submitted unconditionally. No bidder may withdraw a bid within SIXTY (60) days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids.
Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to the Upper Darby Township in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid or bids. Only bonds from companies licensed, to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will be accepted and the bond shall state the same.
All bidders submitting a bid greater than or equal to $100,000 are required to establish proof of competency and responsibility, in accordance with the Upper Darby Township Responsible Contractors Ordinance (RCO).
Bid surety checks and bid bonds will be returned to unsuccessful bidders after the awarding and signing of the Contract. The successful bidder(s) will be required to furnish Performance and Labor and Material Bonds in one hundred percent (100%) of the amount of the contract; a Maintenance Bond in the amount of twenty-five percent (25%) of the total contract price, as well as a Certificate of Insurance.
If bid is greater than $100,000 for this Streets Resurfacing and ADA Curb Ramp project PA Prevailing Wages are required.
The Township reserves the right to waive any informality, or to reject any or all bids, or take such action as it may deem in the best interest of the Borough and as may be permitted by law.
