Project Description: .PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to all prospective bidders that the Borough of Jenkintown will receive sealed bids for the following contract: 2025 ADA Curb Ramps and Mill and Overlay Project. Sealed bids shall be submitted and updated online until 11:00 AM., prevailing time, on the 30th day of July 2025 at which time they will be publicly opened and read. All documents and solicitation details are available any time at PennBid (https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com) by clicking on the bids tab. Hard copies of all documents may be optionally purchased through PennBid. Estimated cost is $100.00. Project drawings and documents are available for inspection at the offices of Borough of Jenkintown, located at 700 Summit Avenue, Jenkintown, PA 19046
2025 Mill AND OVERLAY PROJECT
JENKINTOWN BOROUGH, MONTGOMERY COUNTY
CONTRACT 25-01
This project includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, tools and equipment for the paving of selected roads within the Borough to include: base repairs, milling, and paving.
Bids must be submitted unconditionally. No bidder may withdraw a bid within SIXTY (60) days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids.
Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to the Borough of Jenkintown in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid or bids. Only bonds from companies licensed, to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will be accepted and the bond shall state same.
All bidders submitting a bid greater than or equal to $100,000 are required to establish proof of competency and responsibility, in accordance with Jenkintown Borough Ordinance No. 2008-2, “An Ordinance of the Borough of Jenkintown Adopting a Model Responsible Contractor Ordinance”.
Bid surety checks and bid bonds will be returned to unsuccessful bidders after the awarding and signing of the Contract. The successful bidder(s) will be required to furnish Performance and Labor and Material Bonds in one hundred percent (100%) of the amount of the contract; a Maintenance Bond in the amount of twenty-five percent (25%) of the total contract price, as well as a Certificate of Insurance.
If bid is greater than $100,000 for this Milling and Overlay project PA Prevailing Wages are required.
The Borough reserves the right to waive any informality, or to reject any or all bids, or take such action as it may deem in the best interest of the Borough and as may be permitted by law.
