1. Is this project prevailing wage? If the project is over $100,000 it would be
prevailing wage
2. Is a project schedule required with the bid? Yes
3. Is a DAS prequalification certificate required with the bid? No
4. What is the retainage? 15%
5. What are the daily liquidated damages? TBD
6. How many copies of the bid would you like us to submit? One hard copy and
One electronic copy on USB
7. Is this project CHRO? No
8. Are permit fees waived? No
9. Are we required to provide preventative maintenance once the job is done? If so,
for how long? No
Addendum 2 – Bid #26-006 – HES Core Boiler and Pumps
1. During the walkthrough it was pointed out that the work shall commence on
August 14th, 2026. Please confirm or clarify whether this is the case or not? 8/21
completion date.
2. Please confirm that we are required to hire ABS to do all of the associated
control work on the project? Yes
3. Are alternate manufacturers allowed for the boilers, pump, expansion tanks,
feeder etc.? Yes, as long as they are comparable or exceed what is currently in
place.
4. Is there glycol in the system? If so what percentage is it? No glycol.
5. Are the existing S/R hydronic isolation valves on the boilers to remain or to be
replaced? Replaced
6. Are the existing S/R hydronic isolation valves on the pumps to remain or to be
replaced? Replaced
7. Are we allowed to work during school hours if required? Yes
8. Are we to pump out the entire oil tank to turn over to the owner or just what is in
the existing oils lines within the mechanical room? Just what is in the existing oil
lines within the mechanical room.
9. In order to remove the existing 3-way valve are we going to be required to drain
down the entire system & refill/purge? Yes
10. Are the existing concrete housekeeping pads going to need to be extended or
will the existing ones be large enough for the new boilers? If the replacement is
larger than the existing pads, it is the contractor’s responsibility to extend the
pad.
