Summary

The County of DeKalb, GA (the "County"), is soliciting sealed Bids for Residential and Commercial Single-Stream Recycling Materials (Three-Year Contract w/ 2 Options To Renew) . Bids are to be submitted via the County's eProcurement Portal via https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/dekalbcountyga PRIOR TO 3:00 pm on Wednesday, September 30, 2026 . Late Bids will not be accepted.

Project work includes residential and commercial single-stream recycling materials collected within the County.



Background

The DeKalb County Sanitation Division requests bids from qualified firms to process residential and commercial single-stream recycling materials collected within the County. Recyclable materials are stored at the Central Transfer Station (CTS), located at 3720 Leroy Scott Drive, Decatur, GA 30032, and/or at the North Transfer Station, 4600 Buford Hwy., Chamblee, GA 30341.

The Sanitation Division currently serves more than 170,000 households and 7,000 commercial accounts through its program. Committed to environmental sustainability, the division continues to prioritize its single-stream recycling program as a key component of its environmental stewardship and resource recovery efforts. On average, approximately 1,200 tons of single-stream recyclables are collected and processed each month.
