LEGAL NOTICE

IFB No. 25-17

Sealed bids will be received at the Office of the Water/Sewer Business Manager, 16C Perry Way, Newburyport, MA 01950, by 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at which time and place they will be opened and read for the following:

IFB No. 25-17: Electrical Services for Water Treatment Plant and Wastewater Treatment Plant

A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at 10:00 AM. Interested parties shall meet at the front entrance to the Wastewater Treatment Plant located at 115B Water Street, Newburyport, MA 01950.

Bids will be opened at the Water/Sewer Business Office located at 16C Perry Way, Newburyport, MA 01950. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of thirty (30) days after the date set for the opening thereof.

The bidding and award of this contract will be under the provisions of M.G.L Chapter 149.

Contract award is subject to the approval of the Mayor. The City reserves the right to accept or reject, in whole or in part, any or all bids or take whatever other action may be deemed necessary to be in the best interest of the City.   Newburyport is an affirmative action/equal opportunity purchaser.

Attention is directed to the minimum wage rates to be paid as determined by the Commissioner of Labor and Workforce Development and the weekly payroll record submittal requirements under the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Section 26 through 27D inclusive.
