Description

Purpose of Procurement
Pursuant to the State Purchasing Act (Official Code of Georgia Annotated 50-5-50 et seq.), this electronic Request for Quotes (eRFQ) is being issued to establish a contract with one or more qualified suppliers who will provide an HP 830W Printer to the Columbus State University (hereinafter, the State Entity) as further described in this eRFQ.
Columbus State University¿s University Operations Sign Shop seeks to acquire a high-capacity, wide-format printing system capable of producing high-quality output across a variety of materials used for signage, display graphics, and related applications. The proposed equipment, the HP Latex R5300, will support the shop¿s high-volume production needs while maintaining environmentally responsible printing standards and compatibility with a wide range of media types.
The procurement will include all necessary supplies and annual maintenance to ensure reliable operation and consistent output quality. As part of this acquisition, the University intends to trade in its current wide-format printer, a Mutoh flatbed printer (Model VJ-1638-UH).
The HP Latex R5300 is uniquely suited to meet the University¿s needs, as it is the only wide-format printer in its class that utilizes water-based latex inks while supporting both rigid and flexible substrates up to 126 inches in width. This technology enables indoor-safe, odorless printing and eliminates the need for additional ventilation or off-gassing time, creating a safer and more efficient production environment.
Overview of the eRFQ Process
The objective of the eRFQ is to select one or more qualified suppliers to provide the goods and/or services outlined in this eRFQ to the State Entity.  This eRFQ process will be conducted to gather and evaluate responses from supplier for potential award.  All qualified suppliers are invited to participate by submitting responses, as further defined below.  After evaluating all suppliers¿ responses received prior to the closing date of this eRFQ and resolution of any contract exceptions, the preliminary results of the eRFQ process will be publicly announced, including the names of all participating
