No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of thirty (30) days after the date set for the opening of the bids. Bid Security will be returned to unsuccessful bidders. The successful bidders will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bonds in the form provided in the Bid Documents, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the amount of the contract, within twenty (20) days of the date of the written Notice of Award of the contract. Failure to furnish bonds and proof of insurance as required by the bidding documents within this time period shall, at the option of the CCCRA, constitute grounds to revoke the bid award and declare the bid security forfeited. Contractor understands that this is a public works contract, and all rights to mechanic’s or materialmen’s liens are waived. All bidders are responsible for compliance with the Employee Verification Act of 2013. The Public Works Employment Verification Form must be completed with the bid. The CCCRA reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality, omissions, defects or irregularities in the bids, and to accept and award any contract which, in its judgment, is for the best interest of the CCCRA. The CCRA may consider the qualifications and experience of the bidders and proposed subcontractors when evaluating bids. If the Contract is to be awarded, it will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder whose evaluation by the CCCRA indicates to the CCCRA that the award will be in the best interest of the project.
