| Project Title: | Fire Alarm and Security Systems Monitoring and Maintenance |
| Description: | Purpose: Swain County Schools seeks qualified vendors to provide comprehensive monitoring, inspection, testing, and maintenance of all school fire alarm and security (intrusion, panic, and access control) systems. Scope of Services: 24/7/365 central station monitoring of all fire alarms, security/intrusion systems, and panic alarms Routine and emergency maintenance and repair and replacement (if necessary) for all system types Annual and periodic system inspection, testing, and compliance with all local, state, and NFPA codes Coordinated response and reporting for all systems to district safety staff and local law enforcement as required Recommendations for upgrades or integration of alarm and security systems for improved safety and compliance Vendor must be able to monitor and maintain all systems in a unified manner—no subcontracting for these core services Adherence to North Carolina school safety regulations and any applicable federal standards, including without limitation provision of reports to the principal of each school on forms furnished by the State Fire Marshal, as required by N.C.G.S. 115C-525 Minimum Vendor Qualifications: Licensed and certified for fire alarm and security system maintenance and monitoring in NC Demonstrated experience integrating monitoring and service for fire, intrusion, and panic in school settings Employ factory-trained, certified technicians for all listed system types Provide comparable references from NC K-12 districts or similar public institutions No proprietary system components or software preventing transition at contract end Submission Requirements: Statement of qualifications and experience for both fire and all security system types Documentation of certifications/licensing Description of monitoring equipment and protocols for all system types Summary of K-12 client integrations (unified monitoring) performed within past 3 years |
