2025 Sludge Hauling & Disposal Service

Project Description: Sealed bids will be received by Newberry Township for the Hauling and Disposal of Sewage Sludge from the Newberry Township Wastewater Treatment Plant located at 400 Cly Road, York Haven, PA 17370.
Sealed bids shall be submitted and updated online until 10:00 o’clock AM, prevailing time, on the 25th day of August, 2025, at which time they will be publicly opened and read: All documents and solicitation details are available any time at PennBid™ (www.pennbid.net) by clicking on the “Solicitations” then “View” tabs.
The contract includes the furnishing of containers, transportation, and proper disposal of approximately 1,300 wet tons of sewage sludge annually, as specified in the bid documents.
The Board of Supervisors intends to award the contract at its public meeting on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at 6:00 PM, with a contract start date of September 15, 2025. The initial term runs through December 31, 2025, with a second year running January 1, 2026 – December 31, 2026, and an optional third year from January 1, 2027 – December 31, 2027.
The Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to award the contract in the best interest of Newberry Township.
