The Tempe Union High School District would like to invite you to submit a proposal for District Wide Security Surveillance System . Proposals are to be submitted through the Procurement Portal at https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/tuhsd , no later than 2:00 pm on Friday, February 14, 2025 .
Tempe Union High School District (TUHSD) is seeking a contractor to provide a single, multi-site on-premises, or hosted Video Management Software (VMS) solution supporting an unrestricted number of users, devices, servers and sites within Tempe Union High School District. The proposed VMS shall have the ability to operate with the proposed locations and be expandable to all schools and office sites in the District. The proposal shall anticipate future product enhancements allowing standardization and sustainability well into the future.
Offerors shall include all labor, material, and components necessary to carry out the terms of the contract in the areas of camera installation. Firm shall furnish all necessary qualified personnel and equipment as needed to perform the work specified in the RFP.
Tempe Union High School District serves students in grades nine through twelve in Tempe, Arizona. The District is comprised of six high schools with a student enrollment of approximately 12,000 students in parts of Tempe, Chandler, and Phoenix, Arizona. Six of the sites are comprehensive high schools and Tempe Union Online, being alternative high schools. The Tempe Union High School District is a highly-performing District and is known for excellence in teaching and learning.
This solicitation will be funded through the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) grant award over a three-year period under the 2024 FY24 COPS School Violence Prevention Program (SVPP).
The FY 2024 COPS School Violence Prevention Program is a competitive award program designed to provide funding to improve security at schools and on school grounds in the jurisdiction of the grantee through evidence-based school safety programs.
The grant funds awarded will help to purchase outdoor and indoor security cameras, network video recorders (NVR), the supplies necessary for mounting and the labor costs for installation at all six schools and the District Office (including transportation and the Professional Learning Center). Current cameras have been in place since 2012 and NVRs were purchased in 2013/2014. The incorporation of the new equipment will assist in further enhancing the District’s Comprehensive School Safety Plan by promoting a positive learning environment and ensuring students, parents, staff and visitors not only feel safe but are safe.
