The Brothers Ranch Hydrologic Restoration Project will correct natural surface and subsurface water dynamics on this historic ranch in Northern Monterey County. It will do so by building two infiltration basins in what is currently farmland, re-grading the adjacent ephemeral creek and , to be performed separately from this project, restore the floodplain and creek with native plants. The project will create a more natural mosaic of wet meadow and wet-associated habitats while improving water dynamics throughout the project area.
Please review the invitation to bid and RCD construction contract example (includes the design set):
There will be a mandatory pre-bid walk at 9:00 AM on Tuesday, June 18, 2026. Meet at the ranch entrance near Las Lomas off of Hall Rd just after crossing Carneros Creek on the right. Google Map: ( https://maps.app.goo.gl/aqqtLWtd4qyA8bQK7 ). Bids will not be considered from Contractors who are not represented at this meeting.
Sealed bids will be received until Tuesday, July 11, 2026 at 2:00PM at the office of the RCDSCC located at 2425 Porter Street, Suite 19, Soquel, CA 95073. A public bid opening will be held at that time.
