On-Call Tree Removal Services

By way of this Request for Qualifications (RFQ), Tuolumne County through its Public Works Engineering Division (“County”) intends to pre-qualify and select several firms (each, a “contractor”) to provide tree removal and tree trimming services.

Proposers are advised that THIS IS NOT A LOW BID PROCESS. The County intends to make an award or awards using the evaluation criteria listed in this specification to determine the professional(s) that will provide the best value for the County. Nevertheless, cost is still a criteria that will be used for evaluation.

In most typical years, the County issues small on-call Professional Services Agreements for local tree felling contractors for the removal of trees on public roads and right-of-way. However, the rapid increase in severity and frequency of storm events requires the County to consider increasing the size and scope of its maximum on-call contracts to combat this critical issue. The County expects a continued need for increased tree removal and trimming services in the coming years.

This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) process will be used to select firms to enter into an On-Call Services Agreement with the County. The selected firms will be expected to work closely with designated County staff, consultants, and contractors to ensure the timely implementation of a system that meets the identified scope and needs of the County.
