The City of San Antonio (City), Capital DeliveryDepartment (CDD) is seeking proposals from qualified firms (Respondents)through this Request for Proposals (RFP), to provide on-call or as neededenvironmental abatement services (asbestos, lead, mold, & industrial waste)for various City projects in various locations. Typical work to be performedconsists of asbestos and lead abatement, mold remediation, and industrial wasteremoval, transportation, and disposal. Although there are aspects forperformance that require specialized training and certification, these servicesdo not require professional engineering services. Awarded firms (Contractors)will be required to follow abatement and/or industrial waste specifications,and local, State, and Federal regulations when handling these materials.
The awarded Contractors shall provide environmentalabatement services on an as-needed basis for time sensitive situations inconnection with this RFP and resulting Contract(s) for a three-year initialterm with an option to extend two (2), one-year renewal periods for a totalcontract(s) not to exceed amount of $4,500,000.00, for all contracts awardedand all terms to include initial terms and extensions. The City anticipatesawarding multiple contracts as a result of this RFP.
