This is ONLY A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION. YOUR RESPONSE IS NOT AN OFFER. THIS REQUEST FOR INFORMATION DOES NOT COMMIT THE GOVERNMENT TO PAY ANY COSTS INCURRED IN PREPARATION OF ANY SUBMISSION TO THIS REQUEST FOR INFORMATION MARKET, NOR IS THIS A CONTRACT FOR SERVICES.



GENERAL: The purpose of this request for information is to gather the vendor’s ability to provide self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) gear for Region 5 within California. This includes delivery to on site to each station, in service training for initial mask fit testing and care maintenance. This requirement is anticipated to be a 100% total small business set-aside using NAICS 339999, All Other Miscellaneous Manufacturing with a size standard of 550 Employees. The Government is not bound to the information contained in the draft documents; however, it is anticipated that the final will be similar to this draft.



SCOPE OF WORK: Self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) gear for the replacement and standardization of all self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) gear for R5 forests.





CONTRACT TYPE: The anticipated contract is a firm-fixed price (FFP), sole source to Cascade Fire Equipment Company.





PERIOD OF PERFOMANCE: The period of performance is estimated 90 Days after date of award.





REQUEST FOR INFORMATION: Interested companies shall furnish the following minimum information:

Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) Specifications (See attached).



The Forest Service requests the above information no later than 1200 MST Time on 16 December 2025. The points of contact for this action are Megan Acord. Only email submissions will be accepted. Submission shall have a Subject Line of: RFI Self- Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA). Emails shall be sent to megan.acord@usda.gov.
