Pretrial Employment Services

The Contra Costa County Probation Pretrial Services Unit seeks to procure through this Request for Proposal (RFP) comprehensive employment services for justice-involved individuals released from jail to pretrial services monitoring while awaiting trial. The project aims to break down significant barriers to employment, such as criminal records, skills deficits, and socioeconomic instability, through targeted vocational training, job counseling, readiness programs, and placement referrals. By addressing these challenges, the initiative strives to enhance employment, reduce recidivism, and promote successful reintegration into society, ultimately fostering safer and more stable communities.

The selected vendor will deliver tailored services to a diverse population, predominantly male with complex needs including substance abuse histories, mental health challenges, and unstable housing. Complementary support services like transportation assistance, mental health treatment, and life skills training will be integral to ensuring holistic stability and compliance with the Contra Costa County Superior Court's, ordered monitoring conditions.
