| Description: | Sealed Bids for the construction of Contract 18.1 – Elevated Storage Tank Improvements, McKay Street Tank Demolition, will be received by the City of Laurinburg at City Hall, 303 W. Church Street, Room 221, Laurinburg, North Carolina 28352 until 2:00 pm local time on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project consists of removal of the 250,000-gallon McKay Street elevated storage tank. Work is expected to be undertaken in February 2026 after completion of other tank rehabilitation projects. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum or unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form. The Issuing Office for Bidding Documents is Duncan Parnell (https://bidroom.duncan-parnell.com). Documents may be obtained for a purchase price as listed on their website. All payments are to be made to Duncan Parnell. Prospective bidders must purchase Bidding Documents directly through Duncan Parnell in order to be considered an official plan holder. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. A pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 am local time on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at the McKay Street Tank at 330 McKay Street, Laurinburg, North Carolina. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is highly encouraged but is not mandatory. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The City of Laurinburg is an Equal Opportunity Employer and invites the submission of proposals from minority and women-owned companies. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bid proposals. |
