James City County is soliciting Proposals for a new play area, featuring playground equipment, located at Chickahominy Riverfront Park. James City County considers this a âturnkeyâ project, with the Awarded Contractor responsible for all project phases from conception to completion. ⢠Demolition and Disposal: All identified equipment within the projects scope must be demolished, removed and disposed of by the Awarded Vendor. ⢠Establish Foundations: Existing surfacing material and borders must be removed and replaced by Awarded Contractor. ⢠Construction of New Playground Structures, Seating and Play Area: As agreed in the Executed Contract, and meeting the mandatory requirements. ⢠Theme: It is the preference of the County that this playground feature a theme complimentary to Chickahominy Riverfront Park, in which it inhabits. Acceptable themes and designs include camping, fishing, and outdoor/nature aesthetics.
