Project Overview:
The City of Abilene is requesting proposals from qualified contractors to inspect, evaluate, and provide a
complete proposal for water damage remediation within the basement of the Abilene Public Library.
Due to the nature of the damage and the City's need to complete the project in a timely manner, the City

expertise in evaluating the site and developing their recommended approach. Differences in proposed
scope among respondents are anticipated and will be considered as part of the evaluation process.
The City's intent is to select the proposal that provides the best overall solution to address the damage
and restore the affected areas.
The City reserves the right to award the contract to the proposer whose submission is determined to be
the most advantageous to the City, considering the published evaluation criteria.
Mandatory Site Visit:
A mandatory site visit is required before submitting a proposal.
Each proposer shall inspect the affected areas and independently determine the work necessary to
properly remediate the water damage.
Only firms that complete the required site visit will be eligible to submit a proposal.
