Southern Nevada Water Authority invites qualified firms (Bidders) to submit Bids for the following work, see Contract Documents for full details.

The Site of the Work is located at the Alfred Merritt Smiths Water Treatment Facility (AMSWTF), 243 Lake Shore Road, Boulder City, NV 89005.
The Work consists of removal of existing Alfred Merritt Smiths Water Treatment Facility Administration, Warehouse, Facility Maintenance, Chlorine #1, and Mechanical Treatment building’s mechanically attached roofing system including existing insulation and installation of a new Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO) roofing system; replacement of flashing where it exists and repair of the existing roof deck after the removal process to ensure a tight seal of the roof. Work on the Water Treatment Plant buildings also includes removal of existing joint sealant on the interior, cleaning the joints, and installing new joint sealant. Moreover, the work covers installation of roof walkway to provide access to and around the roof equipment of the buildings and installation of a ladder to access all areas of the roof at Electrical building. Concrete curbing will be installed under equipment if missing, damaged or not having a properly installed curb. Repair and paint stucco on the existing roof screen walls. The flashing on the screen walls shall be replaced. Furthermore, the scope of work consists of removal of the existing roof pavers and installation of a new roof deck with railing at the roof entrance, providing two portable ramps resting on a TPO appropriate roof pad.
The contractor shall install electrical and mechanical equipment support where it does not exist. Lightning rod ground wire, air terminals, and conductor connectors must be removed and remounted after TPO roof is installed. Furthermore, the scope of work consists of removal of electrical equipment, conduit, and existing metal frame, electrical wall penetration repairs and seal. Existing non-contained cables are to be installed in new conduits with support blocks. For existing electrical conduit stub-ups, existing rubber/vinyl jack/boot shall be replaced with new in kind.
The Contractor is to provide equipment, tools, materials, and services necessary to lift and/or move any equipment, for proper installation of the TPO roofing system. The existing roof mounted equipment is to be left in place and NOT to be removed for installation of the new roofing system, except where the new roofing system cannot be installed in accordance with the installer and manufacturer’s installation details and warranty requirements, or where such equipment is to be removed to facilitate installation of the new roofing system.
