Request for Proposal for San Miguel County East End Facilities Janitorial Contract

San Miguel County is seeking qualified bidders for janitorial services in our east end offices and facilities.

Premises - San Miguel County offices located at:

• 305 West Colorado Ave., County Courthouse, 1st and 2nd Floors
• 333 West Colorado Ave., 2nd and 3rd Floors
• 335 West Colorado Ave., 1st floor Conference Room – Restroom and 2nd floor 2 Offices and
• Restroom
• 684 County Road 63L, Ilium Valley – Sheriff’s Office

Daily (Locations - 305, 333 & 684)

All public restrooms:

• Clean all surfaces, sinks, faucets, toilets, and urinals
• Empty trash
• Sweep and mop floors
• Refill all paper and soap dispensers

Twice weekly (Locations - 305 & 333, over weekend & Wednesdays):

• Empty trash receptacles throughout offices and paper shredders in DMV-Clerks
• Sweep and mop vinyl floors and vacuum carpets
• Mop desk chair floor guards
• Empty paper recycling in workstations and near copiers
• Clean and sanitize counters, sinks, and appliances in kitchens/break rooms
• Clean the 2nd-floor meeting room as needed
• Empty can and bottle recycling in kitchens/break rooms
• Wipe down all public counters in each department with disinfecting solution
• Wipe down window sills, tops of cabinets, file cabinets, and desks free of staff work
• materials.

Once weekly (Location – 335, 684):

• Empty trash receptacles throughout the office
• Sweep and mop vinyl floors and vacuum carpets
• Mop desk chair floor guards
• Clean and sanitize desks, counters, sinks, and appliances in kitchens and break rooms
• Wipe down all public counters in each area with disinfecting solution
• Clean and sanitize window sills, tops of cabinets, file cabinets, and desks free of work
• materials

All public restrooms:

• Clean all surfaces, sinks, faucets, toilets, and urinals
• Empty trash
• Sweep and mop floors
• Refill all paper and soap dispensers

Twice annually – spring (May) and fall (October):

• Carpet cleaning in 305, and 333, once per year in 335
• Deep cleaning of vinyl-tile floors

This contract will be for the whole year beginning January 1st, 2026 through December 31st, 2026.
