*** Also, attached is a NOTICE OF INTENT to award a brand-name procurement action as follows:

The Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement (INL) at the U.S. Embassy in Bogotá-Colombia intends to award a firm fixed-price purchase order for the acquisition of Financial Investigation Software Licenses. For this requirement, ALTIA financial investigation software licenses is considered the only brand, and no other supplies or services will accomplish Embassy Bogota requirements.

A brand name restriction is required for this software procurement due to integration and compatibility issues with the software currently in use by the Colombian National Police (CNP) and to meet operational requirements. This procurement action is being conducted in accordance with the statutory authority of FAR Part 6.103-1, which states that only one brand-name and no other will satisfy Embassy Bogota requirements. Any interested party that believes it can meet the requirements described herein may identify themselves and must provide evidence of their capability to fulfill the requirement.
