Construction on Chapman Hall at UNC was completed in 2006 and contains Applied Physical Sciences, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics-Astronomy. Located within UNC's College of Arts and Sciences precinct, this project encompasses the comprehensive design and renovation of Chapman Hall rooms B50, B50A and adjacent areas impacted by the new work. The primary objective of this renovation is to install a new JEOL JEM-3300 (CRYOARM 300 II) Transmission Electron Microscope (Cryo-TEM), which will support the expanding UNC School of Medicine Cryo Electron Microscopy program currently housed in the Glaxo Research Building. Disciplines include, but are not limited to Architecture, MEP, fire sprinkler and structural. This RFQ is for the Advanced Planning phase of the project.
Current project authorization is for advance planning only. The selected firm may be retained through full design and construction at the University's option.
