Scope of Services
The FCC`s E-rate program makes telecommunications and information services more affordable for schools and libraries with funding from the Universal Service Fund, “E-rate” provides discounts for telecommunications, Internet access and internal connections to eligible schools and libraries.

The School District of Manatee County (“SDMC” or the “District”), Florida is seeking RFP proposals from USAC approved and qualified firms (Bidders) to provide, in accordance with E-rate rules for the following services:

Internal Connections District E-Rate Equipment: All SDMC locations reside within the boundaries of Manatee County. SDMC desires to receive proposals for Internal Connections District E-Rate Equipment solutions as detailed in Attachment A - Internal Connections District E-Rate Equipment – New Sites.

The RFP`s wireless access point technical requirements appear to differ from the equipment identified in the BOM. The BOM specifies Extreme Networks AP4020-WW (or equivalent), while the technical requirements appear to call for specific radio/MIMO capabilities. Extreme`s documentation identifies the AP4020-WW as a quad-radio Wi-Fi 7 AP with three 2x2:2 data radios for 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz. Please clarify whether bidders are required to meet the written technical specifications exactly, or whether the AP4020-WW listed in the BOM is considered compliant.
