Project Description: Sealed Proposals for the Birmingham Township for the 2025 Road Program will be received online via the PennBid Program by Birmingham Township until January 30, 2025, at 10:30 A.M. Upon review of submitted Bids, results will be posted online at PennBid website, and bids will be awarded at the subsequent meeting.
Contract Documents for the work are on file and can be obtained at pennbid.bonfirehub.com for no cost. PennBid charges an award fee of 1/3% (.0033) of the initial contract award amount to the awarded contractor.
Bids for this Contract shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Bid. Bids shall be effective for a period of sixty (60) calendar days.
The Work generally consists of furnishing all equipment, labor, and materials for, but not necessarily limited to, the following: Project comprises of milling; Superpave wearing course application to roadways, base course re-pairs, inlet repairs; and crack sealing of Township Roads. The work is more specifically identified in the project manual/bid documents and project drawings.
The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price. A pre-bid meeting will not be held. Questions will be accepted until 3:00 P.M., prevailing time, on Thursday, January 23, 2025. All questions must be submitted through PennBid.
The project documents contain provisions regarding the applicability of PA Prevailing Wages.
Liquid Fuels funds will be utilized for funding a portion of this project and all materials and work must conform to the most recent edition of PennDOT Publication 408 unless otherwise specified.
Birmingham Township reserves the right to reject any or all BIDS or portions thereof and to accept any BIDS, or portion of Bid, which in its judgment is for the best interest of the Township.
