Description
PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE:
The National Park Service, Interior Regions 3/4/5, Ohio Major Acquisition Buying Office, intends to issue a Invitation for Bids (IFB) for the Bridge 447 – Timber Replacement project for the Cuyahoga Valley National Park in Brecksville, OH.
Work will consist of providing all labor, materials, tools and other equipment necessary to install all new Bridge Timbers on Bridge 447. Approximate length of bridge is 207 feet long. All timbers will be matched to the correct tie and location on the Bridge. Install 14 approach ties on each end of bridge. Standard 7”x9”x8-’6” track ties. Install approximately 420 feet of new 132lb rail on the bridge section reusing existing tie plates. Remove and reinstall bridge inner guard rail, timber spacing bars, walkway grating, and handrail. All work shall be performed in accordance with 49 CFR Part 214 Subpart B Bridge Worker Safety Standards
SOLICITATION NUMBER: 140P6425B0001
PROJECT MAGNITUDE: Between $250,000 and $500,000
TYPE OF CONTRACT: This will be a firm-fixed price contract expected to be awarded to a prime contractor by early February 2026 with performance to begin in February 2026.
Construction Wage Rate Requirements for Summit County, OH will apply.
North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) CODE CLASSIFICATION and SET ASIDE: The NAICS Code is 237310, and the size standard is $45 million.
This project is set aside 100% for Total Small Businesses.
SITE VISIT: A site visit date, time, and meeting location will be announced in the solicitation. Offerors are highly encouraged to attend the scheduled site visit to inspect the site and to ensure they fully understand the requirement and conditions that may affect the cost of the project, specifications, and performance.
PUBLICIZING: The official solicitation and its attachments will be issued and available mid/late December 2025 and will be posted to the Contract Opportunities/SAM.gov website at https://sam.gov/content/opportunities .
The contracting office will not provide hardcopies or email copies of the solicitation.
REGISTRATIONS: In order to be awarded a contract, an offeror must have an UEI number. Also, the offeror must be registered and active in the System for Award Management (SAM), website at http://www.sam.gov, and have completed their Online Representations and Certifications at the time of the solicitation close date once the solicitation is posted.
